Vacancies for Assistant Superintendents of Police, Hong
The Inspector General, Palestine Police Force, has intimated
that he understands from a purely unofficial source, that
Mr. T. E. CLUNIE who was one of the candidates recommended for one of
the vacancies, has been selected for the first vacancy and has already
sailed for China, and that the second vacancy has also been filled.
2.
I should be grateful for confirmation of this
report. If Mr. CLUNIE has actually sailed, I shall also be grateful
to be informed of the effective date of his transfer.
3.
It will be recalled that the names of a con
siderable number of Police officers have been put forward in recent
months for consideration for appointments to other colonies. It
would be of assistance if I may be informed at the earliest possible
date of the names of all officers selected, so that the unsuccessful
candidates may be considered for nomination for any appointments
that may fall vacant in the future.
